Golden Age Fellowship

At a church retreat in 1998, senior citizens of St. John’s Church requested the formation of a Senior Citizens Fellowship exclusively for them. So on December 28, 1999, a meeting for the senior citizens was organized. There are games, singing and fun.  Under the Nurture & Pastoral Care Committee, the rechristenedGolden Age Fellowship blossomed.  The Fellowshiphas linked up with the committee of AshaNivas, where the meetings are held.

The programme is normally attendedby 45 to 60 members. It starts withsinging of choruses and special numbers, and has skits by the wing hosting the programme.  Seniors enjoy the games and the prizes, refreshments and tea. It endswith the singing of old favourites in which everybodyjoins with great gusto.
