Rev. Navin K. John took over as Presbyter-in-Charge from Rev. G. Wilson from September 1, 2020. Rev. John, an alumni of St. John’s High School, was deputed to our church in June 2018 as Assistant Presbyter. His mission is to continue, as his predecessors have done, “to contribute to preserving and strengthening the faith of the Church.”
MR. GEORGE PHILIP
Mr. George Philip 70 years passed away of a massive heart attack on September 11, 2020. Please uphold in your prayers the family — his wife Elizabeth and sons Kunal and Manish, and daughter Manisha. Funeral: Prayer at the home on Sunday, September 13, at 12 noon, followed by burial as Hosur Road Cemetery, Gate No 3. https://youtu.be/k0fuanG5p7I
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?
St. John’s Church has many opportunities for its members to participate in the different activities. As 1 Peter 4:10 says:Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
