OBITUARY
Rev. Flinders Stephen 1974 July – March 1975; 1983 May – 1988 April;
Mr. Allan P V, 83 yrs husband of Sheila Allan and Father of Dexter & Edgar Allan Passed into Glory on 18th May 2021.
Mrs Urmila Devadasen, 44 yrs passed away on the 15th of May 2021. Wife of Vasu and Mother of Sitara. Funeral conducted at Hosur Road Cemetery. Please pray for the bereaved family.
Mr. John Nelson Mayboo, 68 yrs slept in the Lord on 13th of May 2021 and intered on 14th of May at the Hosur road Cemetery. Kindly keep the family in your prayers.
COMMENCEMENT OF THE RESTORATION OF THE CHURCH
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
We thank you for your continued support and prayers
towards the restoration of the Church building.
We are glad to inform you that the restoration has
commenced today by the blessings of God.
This is a historic day in the life of the Church as the
restoration of the Church building began with prayer led
by our Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. P.K. Samuel.
The Prayer was attended by the officers of the Diocese
namely Mr. Paul Dhanashekaran – Secretary, Rev. Christy Rajkumar – Area Chairperson,
Mr. Devdas Sadu – Property Convenor of the Diocese,
Mr. Satheesh – Technical Consultant of the Diocese,
Conservation Architect – G N Heritage,
Project Contractor – M/s T J Enterprises, Site Architect,
Members of the Pastorate Committee,
Principal – St. John’s High School and Church office staff.
The Bishop exhorted the members to join in the work of God in the
restoration of the Church building and also the reformation of the
ministry of the Church.
We look forward to your continued prayers and support towards the
completion of the restoration project within the stipulated time.

REGULAR SUNDAY SERVICE (Will resume after the imposed lockdown) AT 9.00 am and 6:00 pm . Holy communion Services on the 1st , 2nd , 4th & 5th Sunday during 9:00 am service and on All Evening Services. Screening of members, who are attending the service, begins at 8.15 am. The guidelines for attending the service, in the church, are on the website/notice board of the Church.

Rev. Navin K. John. ( B.D, M.Th) . Rev.John took over as Presbyter-in-Charge from Rev. G. Wilson on September 1, 2020. Rev. John is an alumni of St. John’s High School. He completed his Bachelor of Divinity at Gurukul Lutheran Theological College, Chennai in 2005 and his Master of Theology at United Theological College, Bangalore in 2012. He was appointed as the Assistant Presbyter of our Church in May 2018 by the Karnataka Central Diocese. His mission is to continue, as his predecessors have done, “to contribute to preserving and strengthening the faith of the Church.” Rev. Navin K John is married to Mrs. Niveditha Navin, who serves in Indian Evangelical Mission Headquarters as the Chief Accountant. Their son Nischal Aaron is studying in Standard III at Bishop Cotton Boys School.
St. John’s Church has many opportunities for its members to participate in the different activities. As 1 Peter 4:10 says:Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
